Island Hotel Room 29

The Island Hotel is our favorite place to stay in Cedar Key. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We love sitting on the balcony in the evening enjoying a cool breeze and watching the golf carts drive up and down the street. The Neptune Bar is a great for drinks and/or dinner. The more formal dining room is wonderful, as well. Both places offer the same menu and the food is some of the best we’ve eaten. In our opinion, there’s no better place to stay in Cedar Key.

Great vibe for relaxing. The Island Hotel was my base for 4 days of exploring and recharging. I'll be back.

We could not have had a more peaceful adventure. Loved our stay. Everyone was so welcoming and accommodating. The restaurant food was amazing. Only comment is that a towel rack is needed in the bathroom.

This hotel is definitely an historic experience. However, it is time for some modern upgrades. The floor in room 29 is uneven and should be leveled. The shower in the bathroom should be able to accommodate a man standing upright. A light over the bathroom mirror should not be just a lightbulb in a socket with a pull string. However, the wrap around porch and the seating with a beautiful view is a lovely spot to relax. It appears that the town is still recovering from storm damages so be aware when traveling to this area.
