Island Hotel Room 30

The Island Hotel in Cedar Key is an experience that requires an appreciation for history and an idyllic small town coastal vibe. The owners and staff welcomed us and showed tremendous hospitality. The food was upscale and creative. I've never had lime sherbet salad dressing, but I'm hooked. If you're tired of soulless corporate hotels, give this experience a try.

We loved this place. We weren’t sure if we made a good decision on first glance but everyone there made our stay wonderful. This is a very old place but has been updated with modern conveniences. Don’t expect a new hotel experience — this is old time Florida! It creaks and the floors slant in many areas but that just contributes to the old time charm. Think Hemingway. The staff and restaurant waitstaff were all super friendly and helpful. Have a drink in the bar and meet the locals—they have lots of stories. Room 30 was great with 2 queen beds.

It was a wonderful stay, friendly staff, great dinner! Looking forward to my next visit.

The Island Hotel was very nice! Close to everything in Cedar Key!! They have a very interesting history and I could just imagine it in the 1800's. Very helpful and friendly staff, good food and exceptionally clean! Was perfect for our little getaway!!

Thoroughly enjoyed our overnight visit. Wish the weather cooperated better. Hotel was nice. The staff at front desk and bar were super accommodating and friendly. Michael enjoyed his Steak dinner (I was still full from lunch). Key Lime Pie fantastic. We will return again for a boat tour when not rainy.
